What does Siamsa le Cheile mean?

The literal translation from Irish Gaelic would be:
siamsa - warm fuzzy feeling
le cheile - together

(It's very much akin to the German word gemütlichkeit.)

Imagine yourself sitting around the living room or kitchen with some dear friends or close family playing music and dancing. You may have a drop of something pleasant down you, but the seisún is hot, it's cold outside and there is a nice hot fire in the hearth.

Most of all, you feel that fun warm-cozy, loving feeling... that is Siamsa.

As is our way, we have reinterpreted this traditional Irish word in a modern way. We now consider S.I.A.M.S.A. to be an acronym for:
Scots-Irish Anarcho-Masochistic Stage Alliance

We perform the music and dance of the Scottish and Irish gaels under extreme conditions. Our show is chaotic, exciting and never the same way twice!
